Comic Review: Iron Man #174

Writer: Denny O’Neil

Pencils: Luke McDonnell

 

Rhodey is in the iron man in this issue and Tony Stark is out of the picture mostly. Great comic, action packed, and thrilling, had a great overall story stands alone as a story too, but great well done artwork, and a good fight with Stanes Knight Guard character. Seems almost like a Marvel movie, same style and detail and approach, also it’s hinting at the 90’s comics in the future of when this comic was made, had sort of 90’s style in its infancy too. Great read.

Comic Review: Iron Man #165

Interesting story which flowed well, it had a good plot, and good writing, and the artwork was excellent. Not much character development, mostly action, and furthering character story arcs. So it’s not just a stand alone issue, but it was still a good read. The comic had kings, and castles and chess themes, and the same Iron Man super hero fights, and one liners that we expect. Somewhat not overwhelmingly amazing reading experience though.

Comic Review: Web of Spider Man #98, 1993

Writer: Terry Kavanagh

Artists: Alex Saviuk, Don Hudson and Derek Yaniger drawing the interlude

 

So this is part 2 of 4 of “My Enemies Enemy” Featuring The Blood Rose, and the Cyber-Hunters as enemies. Good Fight scene, and short interlude that’s not amazing, and then some drama, an appearance of Mary Jane, and a good cliff hanger ending. I’d say it was an overall fun read, that leads in well into the next issue. The artwork didn’t have much consistency, and didn’t seem to have artwork that was optimized. The story was a good story that lives up to the Spider Man tradition of comics.

Comic Review : Iron Man #144

Well it was a good story over all, some good moments. Very excellent artwork on the 1^st story of the comic, and artwork almost as good on the 2^nd story of the comic. The 2^nd story is a revisiting of the first appearance of Iron Man, while the 1^st story is the ending to the story of the battle in the previous issue between Iron Man and Sunturian in his newly space adapted Iron Man armor.

 

Very entertaining. Good old fashioned storytelling, with some humor, and great artwork and great plot. A good addition to the original appearance of Iron Man, and a good ending to the story from the previous issue.
